Manly Dam update for 02 May

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

There is still a bit of water about in the usual places, but overall the track is as dry as it has ever been this year so I'm going to mark it "green".

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

For Sale: Ag line. Free to any trail maintainer.

Price:
0.00

I have about 10 metres of ag line left from a job we're doing, rather than throw it in the skip, I thought it may come in useful for drainage on one if the local trails. As it's not the wrapped stuff, it will need wrapping in geo fabric to stop it silting up.
I may have a bit of 100mm and 50mm pipe left too if you're interested.

Pick up is at Zetland.

Well the plan was not to enter this race, but changed my mind with the race talk going around and the conditions looking good. Ended up getting an 11th hour transfer and was not disappointed.
The course was great and managed to keep a good pace most of the time after my usual slow start. Sure was hard pushing through Majura after not eating snacks through single trail and waiting for the untimed section. Definitely a unique experience having such a long break through the untimed section, was good to refuel but funny how it felt colder than at the start line.

Price:
1,475.00

You are looking at an almost brand new Trance rebuilt in April with a brand new 2010 X1 frame and BB. New rear rim and drive train (cluster, rear / front derailleurs, chain and mid front chainring). The remaining parts of from my original Trance X3.

Note: The KS automatic seatpost in the images is not included. The original Raceface seatpost is.

This bike is good working order except for the Fox front forks which need a major service or replacing as they are leaking oil. Some cable rub on forks and rear shock.

Social Night Ride @ Terrey Hills, Perimeter + Long Trail

Don't miss this ride and the Post-Budget round-table at the tavern, with a very opinionated panel (SRAM vs Shimano) representing different industries and sectors. Discuss how the budget will impact on your MTB'ing this coming financial year. Will you have to work harder - or is there money left for new bling parts? Eye-wink

This ride starts at 7 PM at the Japanese School roundabout, to avoid the muddy bits and to get us back before the Tavern's kitchen closes for last orders at 8:39 PM.

Decided after doing the 100 last year that it would be my last at that distance - I can ride 100km, but I can't get motivated enough to train enough (or, in reality, get good enough to) feel like I can race for that distance.

Absolute corker of a day for racing, the tracks were in great condition, the organisers had worked in some of Sparrow and removed the horrible paddocks near the airport. I had put myself in group three which seemed like a mistake but positioned myself near the front so it was actually pretty good having a reasonably clear track.
