The main fire trail is dry, however there are few puddles here and there on the single track. Pretty good overall.

Cascades update for 28 Apr
Rode there today. The earth works have certainly changed the surface. It was all good until a savage rock jumped out and bang! instant flat:(
There is a bit of mud down the bottom, so went up lower cranbourne track and up to Acron, that was fine, no issues to report.
Well worth a ride if your looking for somewhere to get out.

Open of course. Mostly dry with tacky, damp, slightly slippery sections where is it shaded and with tree roots so take care folks.

XX shifters
Can anyone tell me the make up of the 2012 Sram XX shifters. My question is, can the down shift lever be repositioned and used like Shimano ie. index finger down shift, or is all Sram thumb press for up and down shifting?
WSMTB XC Round 3
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
Round 3 of the WSMTB XC Series will be held on Sunday 20 May at Yellomundee RP. U10s rego from 8.10am with "race" at 8.30am. U13s race at 9am.
Senior's rego from 8am to 8.50am sharp (so we can get U13s racing at 9am) - with seniors race at 9.30am
All welcome - members and non-members - don't worry if you haven't raced in the series before, or even haven't raced before. Just come and enjoy the friendly MTB club atmosphere.

Manly Dam update for 28 Apr
The Manly Dam Track is open and rideable.
Parts of the track are good. Other areas (after the Manly Vale School and much of the Allambie side) have water seepage issues. There are a few puddles in random places and one quagmire.
All of the track is rough and eroded and some of your usual lines may not exist at the moment.
But it is certainly rideable, you'll just have to do a clean and some maintenance on your bike afterwards.
