Wombat 100 - A Tough Day Out
Wombat 100
Originally hadn't planned to do his race, but when it got included as part of the XCM series and Brian had already sorted accommodation - I thought what the heck.
Great location for a MTB event, with a great combination of single track and fire road which made the course challenging and interesting. The Single track is awesome with a combination of some plantation pine forest and rugged Australian native bushland.

Tool & tube storage options?
Hi Team
Historically I have used a canister in my second bottle cage to hold a tube, lever, co2 cartridge, co2 head, quick link and a $10 note. I like it because it's solidly mounted, quiet and fuss free. Unfortunately my new frame only has one bottle mount so I need an alternative, any suggestions?
Im not keen on saddle bags as they always seem to fall open. What else works for people? Id prefer something that's always on he bike

Withdrawn: Capital Punishment 100km Entry

You will need to pay a $30 admin fee, so I think this a decent price.
PM me.

Killed my Garmin Edge 800 with OTB!
Went over the bars today, came away a bit shaken but apart from that, just a few scratches...... except for my Garmin Edge 800 which bore the brunt of a rather hard rock, smashing it's screen. The little fella was bravely beeping away on the inside, even though his screen was destroyed. Has anyone else cracked their 800 screen and what was the remedy/how much?

Dungog 'Common' 8hr
What a great day! The camping, weather, company, track, it was all great.
This is the first time that I've properly watched my diet & fluids leading up to an endurance event. It really paid off. I thought that my 4th & 5th lap would be slower, but, all 5 laps were within 41 seconds of each other. My last lap wasn't even my slowest! I was keen for a 6th, but the 8 hrs had already expired.
Many thanks to all the fellow riders who checked on me after my OTB incident on my first lap. No damage done, except for a whopping bruise.
