rode red hill this arvo the driest its been in awhile.still some dodgy areas and displaced rocks from the moto riders tho(were 3 up there tearing the place up this arvo...

Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 15 Apr
Perfect conditions. First time there since the new 'black' loop has been opened - awesome! Mt Annan has gone from being a good track to great. They had a food & wine festival there today so it took almost a half hour to drive from entrance to the track. If I had known I would have brought the +1 and a picnic blanket ...

Old Man's Valley mountain bike trail - we need more numbers
Looking at the numbers (five so far) from the MTB community registered to attend Hornsby Shire Council meeting this coming Wednesday evening, we are not going to make a big enough impression with those numbers. Do you want a new trail close to our city folks? Hawkeye has kindly alerted us to this event and we need only 2 hours of your time this Wednesday to pop in to attend and show support for a new trail. Manly Dam update for 15 Apr
I'm calling green... barely. The singletrack sections are all Ok but Allambie fire road is wet in the usual spots and the section after the Manly Vale primary school is a bog. Earplugs to block out the horrible noises from the sand in your drivetrain would be a good idea.

1st non stop since the resurface
Boggy trail since the resurface.
Didn't feel too strong on the climbs. Fair bit of pressure on the lower back muscles. Think that just needs some conditioning though.
Felt good to get under 45 minutes to Davidson. Now need to push for under 30 to St Ives and closer to 40 to Davidson... with enough in the tank for a sub 30 minute Davidson to Belrose. That'll give me sub 1:10 and I can then get focused on clawing out another 5 minutes somewhere.
Mmm ... better
2 min 22 under last week's time. Considering I had a day off work with a cold midweek, that's reasonable.
