Cascades update for 15 Apr
Lots of resurfacing work has taken place and the diggers are still in there. The track seems to be holding a lot more water; it's really boggy and damp as instead of the nice well draining sand that used to be on the trail we now have a mud / clay mixture all the way.
The ride down from Ralston has been ruined. I road it for the 2nd time today and although my descent time is back to normal it's just not as fun. The water bars are so big and so steep that I found I either had to roll over the or fly like superman. Even when I did fly I found that because of the rapid weight transfer; from going downhill, to shifting weight to go up to the water bar; that my rear wheel was being pitched up and I struggled to get my weight centred during flight. So 1/2 the time was landing very front heavy.
The ride down from Acron oval is still good and hopefully the rest of the trail packs down and gets some nice lines forming after a couple of months.

BMORC visiting Mt Annan & Kessel Run
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
End of Ulmarra ave, Camden South.
Despite the good weather today we are taking the advice to postpone this ride for a later date.
A few good men will be coming down from the Mountains for a social ride.
2 rides planned.
The first will be the Kessel Run (Camden) at 8am meet. This is an out and back ride (12.6km total). Estimated duration is around 2hrs.
Second is Mount Annan, Gates open at 10am. Meet in the Car park near trailhead ideally around 10:15am. May be later depending on Kessel Run duration and relocation.

Capital Punishment Water Stop?
Does anyone know if there is a water refill station during the "non-race" section through the streets of Canberra? I'm doing the 50km and hoping to get away with just one bottle.

Lane Cove National Park update for 14 Apr
Rode Friday morning, and it was a little bit wetter than it was last weekend, but not too bad. Just a few short sections of mud and a few puddles.

The Oaks update for 13 Apr
This trail rode beautifully today, 99.5% dried out and certainly nothing that will bog the bike down. Both fire trail and single track are good to go. Enjoy!

Mt Banks Fire trail update for 13 Apr
Trail in very good condition considering past rains.
One steep section a little rocky, otherwise good.
Some shallow sandy creek crossings with minimal water (i.e. can bunny hop over water).
Watch out for walkers around corners.
