Royal National Park update for 14 Jan
Wet at the singletracks this morning, would probably avoid them altogether after tonight's rain.
Firetrails are still rideable but there are some massive paddles(avoidable though)

Tools on the road
Forgot to add to my hot lap blurb...
On my return to the Terrey hills car park whilst riding back up McCarrs, some tool in a new Black HSV Maloo Ute decides to try and clip me with his mirror and at the same time rev the buggery out of his normally sweet sounding engine - i say normally because, it doesnt sound too nice right next to your ear.

New PB!
Went out with the intention of sub 30... But no, not even close. The track was damp and the sand was like super glue. Was pushing the limits of my silly tyres which ended up putting me in the trees at 35kph! Managed one of the best saves of my life to some how keep it upright and miss everything bad... Im still using the road cassette which is killing my legs on that bloody hill! I managed to do the centre track from top to bottom in around 8:30 ish so that was fun - used the downhill to rest (max 58kph) Then hit the uphill. Was really hoping i had enough of a buffer..

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Bloodwood Road, Fiddletown heads up to the National Park. There's a sharp right bend by Marramarra Ridge Trail, with Coba Point Fire Trail shortly after (the proceeding sharp left). There's parking by either trail which are less than 1km apart, but the area by Coba Point Fire Trail is the go.
Up Coba Ridge track on technical rocky overgrown firetrail, becoming narrow singletrack, possibly going on north branch along Marramarra Ridge Track if we're keen.

Lane Cove National Park update for 13 Jan
Trails were mostly dry today. There are a few trees down and a lot of sticks and debris on the trails after the wind this week.

Nutrition - during and after
I want to find out what people are consuming during and after a long(ish) ride 3hrs +.
If I'm road riding I typically consume a couple of gels and a couple of banana's along with a bottle of water and a bottle of gatorade. On the MTB events I have usually survived with just a couple of litres of water and gels. I'm doing a 100km this year so that won't get me through and need to rethink this.
