Wylde MTB - Opening 12th October
Wylde MTB Trail Community Open Day
Cecil Park, Western Sydney Parklands
NEW DATE: Sunday 12 October
12 to 3 pm
New event date will be Sunday 12 October (12pm to 3pm). Community day will feature stalls by MTB favourites Shimano MTB Equipment and Zero Five Sports Apparel, and Liverpool's ABC Bikes are bringing along the brand new Giant 2015 MTB Bike Demo Fleet for members of the public to try out on track.
Ourimbah State Forest update for 28 Aug
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay off the trail. It will only take a day or two of no rain and it will be OK to ride again. There have been people out there though and it is making everything very slushy and wrecked and will take twice as long to dry out.

WSMTB XC Round 7
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
All riders are welcome to attend the WSMTB Club XC series Round 7 on Sunday 21 Sept at Yellomundee Regional Park.
The Seniors and U15s race at 9.30am. The U10s event is at 8.30am, and U13s at 9am. Registration from 8am to 8.50am sharp (so we can get the U13s away on time).

The Yarramundi RFS will be there with their yummy BBQ!
Yellomundee Track Maintenance
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Here's a chance for all riders to give back to the trails we use and enjoy: WSMTB will be holding a Track Maintenance Morning at Yellomundee Regional Park on Sunday 14 Sept at 8.30am to around midday.
Please bring line trimmers, loppers, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and a ute or two. For safety, wear long trousers, boots, hat & gloves.
All welcome!
Note: that riders in the WSMTB XC Series will receive 10 points for this track work.
Red Hill update for 23 Aug
As wet as it can get. Might be OK in 4 months time!
Went for Trail Run this morning around some trails including Sanchez and Dougies. Knee Deep pools and soggy bogs everywhere. New fire trail access road has turned into a wet sandy grinding paste all the way along.
Sections of carving downhill are now gone.
Otherwise all good!

Wylde MTB Trail - Opening 24th August update for 19 Aug
Due to the heavy rain over the past few days, Western Sydney Parklands Trust management has made the unfortunate decision today to postpone the official Wylde MTB Trail Community Open Day scheduled for this Sunday 24 August and the track will remain closed until further notice.
They are currently looking at an alternative Sunday in late September.

Wylde - Cecil Hills - Open ?
Is Wylde track at Cecil Hills actually open to the public now? Seeing a number of posts from others but note it is still listed as 'under construction' and 'opening 24th August'. I drove past the other day but all the fences were still up. Looking forward to riding it - would love to get a ride in before going to the official opening.
