Jesmond Park/John Hunter Hospital Hill update for 20 Apr

Not too bad. Sniggle is moist but rideable. Fireroads are fine - few puddles in places, but easy to navigate.
I think I cleared every spiderweb in the park - enjoy the clear riding.

Was good, that bit of rain has just taken the layer of dust away and left a few tiny puddles.
Hope no one saw me flying over the handlebars on the quarry loop today :/

Just went for a short loop Kenny s , shaft , s&l, quarry to reload etc - IMO right on the border of green - few puddles here and there , but wet enough to be quite a bit slower than usual. Refresh would give it a green 4 tomoz probably Eye-wink

Drying out but not there yet. The Gun Club rd. loops are mostly Ok. Wet in Pump Action.

There will be issues elsewhere, so tread lightly. Please.

Got caught in rain yesterday with a bit of water flowing down the trails. my dodgy rainguage is showing 7mm today and at a slow, drizzly, depressing rate. Given the condition yesterday, definately closed today - might get to friday for a look see.

The Common MTB Festival

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Four of us went up to Dungog today to check out the course for the 8hour enduro on The Common this coming weekend. It was our first experience of the trails and we've come away very impressed and looking forward to the weekend. We met Les, Chris and Al who were hard at work putting the finishing touches to the loop and the camping area. The course loop is brilliant with something for everyone and stunning views at every turn. It sounds like a great program across the weekend with live music, mtb movies under the stars and a 16inch bike race Saturday afternoon!
