I liked the dodgy De Luge trail and would also consider starting from there, but as i'm new to the mountains of Glenrock and found that De Luge started in a strange place and not sure if others would know the depot entrance to De Luge, i would say the subject idea is the best place to start.

I'm open for spontaneous mapping if i can get a large enough group together.

Hope to see someone there.

went up to do some trail maintenance yesterday. If it weren't for riders riding in the wet believe it or not, the trails would likely have been amber by yesterday arvo. Trails were largely. A couple of corners were boggy and rutted, if people stayed of the trails, they would not be so rutted, and they would drain water better. I did some scalloping on KW's corners to the best of my ability (really needed a mattock to shape it better) however it really does need a solid days maintenance. Also, we need to have a chat about the sharp left hand corner after the tree fall detour on KW's. Rock armoring? or leave it as is??

Singleton MTB track update for 04 Mar

Walked the early parts of the trail yesterday afternoon. Lots of water running over the track and some very muddy patches on and next to the trail. Locals might know for certain, but it looked to me like it will take quite a few days of warm, sunny weather before it will be rideable again.

Went for a ride last night after we had 2mm of rain the night before, and it was quite a lot wetter than wednesday. So far 12mm overnight - it will be very bad through the weekend (unless we get a 42oC day). management trails only and mud guards! for sunday at best - I'll be dodging the prams on fernleigh track.....

Ourimbah singletrack

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

I rode some of the the XC trails at Ourimbah on friday and I am in love. The trails down there have everything our trails (Glenrock and Awaba) dont have. They have drops, step downs, jumps, bermed corners, difficult technical sections and rock gardens as part of the flowing trail, the kind of stuff you used to find on our trails before they were "sanitised". It is more like riding raw natural trails rather than man made groomed trails that cater to the masses. They also have a downhill track that is rideable by mere mortals in the same complex.

Nice and dry. No problems at all. I did not ride the gullies on the eastern side of the hospital though because I reckon they could still be damp. Everywhere else is good to go.
