Rode this morning. Baileys is still very wet. I carried the bike around the really bad bits. Twisties is now as good as dry. If you carry your bike and dont ride through the worst sections of Baileys, everything else is green and good to go.

Getting into club riding

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.

Hi all,

Just inquiring what the best way might be to getting into a local club. I am currently doing most rides on my own, which is getting a bit boring really. I would like to get into just general events, & helping out etc. Small enduro events, light racing etc.

Anyone have any experience on how it all works.

Thanks.

Jason.

I Would not call it red any more.

The bog holes on Kenny's will be there until we fix them on Saturday.
Twisties has a couple of small puddles but they are becoming worse, if we have time we should fix them too. Oh, and a new one at the start of High roller.

Bailey's may never dry out, and that first hole is a doozy - near axle deep - watch out!

Also remember BJ's is now closed for work.

Some spots are drying nicely. Some are horrible. If you know the trails well you cam link together a decent amber ride using firetrail double barrel snakes and ladder fire road up to bjs it happens (skip shaft) and back up snakes and ladders.

Where has my post gone?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

About 2 weeks ago I posted up a comment after riding at Ourimbah for the first time. I said that Ourimbah had what Awaba and Glenrock sadly lack......that is technical riding, drops, jumps, berms and a downhill track mere mortals can ride. The kind of stuff that the new generation of all mountain riders are looking for. My question is where did this post go? It is gone. Is this simply a computer glitch, or have I been censored for saying that our Newcastle trails are not offering what many riders are looking for? I have looked in other areas of the forum but cant find it.
