State Inquiry into the Access to Public Land - NP, Stateforest, Crown Land etc
I don't know too much about this, but i just found this on a Ducati Owners Group forum and thought it was relevant for here.
Seems there is an inquiry into access to public land and something that we would be well served by people putting submissions into. Bit of a worry it is chaired by the shooters and fishers party, but we need to get onto this.
Spread the word on this one.

Awaba State Forest update for 25 Jul
Just got back from Awaba. Tracks not too bad. It's slippery down the short steep section that has the road matting/plastic blocks laid down. Just before the Vegie Patch sign it's a bog and traction was an issue for me, once over the Camel Back there are a few wet patches, Salad Bowl wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, few puddles about the place but the mud isn't as bad as the section through the Vegie Patch. Bit slippery in places through Wayne's World other than that's it's ok. Not sure if it's right for a weekend's worth or riders, however, it should stand up to week day levels of traffic ok.

Singleton MTB track update for 21 Jul
Just finished a couple of great laps at Singleton. All sections of the track are in great shape with no issues to report. It was more than worth the drive from Newcastle to sample some DRY singletrack and get an off-road fix. So, keep it in mind while Glenrock is drying out. Nothing to do with trail status, but very proud of my 5 year old daughter who completed a full lap too

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 21 Jul
Glenrock is wet again this morning, rained quite a bit overnight.
I didn't look at every trail but the whole place is wet and the ground had barely dried yesterday.
What is wrong with our weather?

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 20 Jul
Mostly drying out OK but the puddles left are a bit bigger than usual thanks to the extra traffic during the recent wet.
Bottom of BJ's, around the Treatment Works, Bailey's Twisties all still a bit wet.
Riding straight through the middle of the puddles is the best way to deal with them, at least it conctrates the damage rather than widening the trail something we are often accused of. It also makes repairs easier.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 16 Jul
Went down shaft, which i will avoid for the next 2 days at least - quite cut up from the traffic on the weekend. Zeuss is dry which should mean amber, but much traffic on weekend has torn up some of the clay climbs, like out of the creek near the shitworks. The big dipper is truly terrible (near easy way out) - there is some legendary repairwork that has been done on the lower quarry between the rythym jumps and the quarry section (well done SD)
S&L good, seismic good, 6 shooter good, reload good, quarry loop good, avoided kenny's, BJ's, twisties, blackboy - i know if shaft is shit , then they are too.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 11 Jul
More rain has made it even worse than the weekend.
Please realise that riding while it is this wet damages the trails meaning they hold more water and take even longer to dry out.
Smash the Firetrails and management trails if you're desperate.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 09 Jul
Just for a ride thinking I could do a wet loop. Here are my notes from the ride.
Double Barrel - I'm going to call it green, few slippery bits but otherwise fine.
Twisties - Red, its a mess best avoided and the bottom is a slippery chute.
Reload - Green, initial section of fire road is a little slippery, otherwise fine. Some of the Bamboo is down.
Kenny's - Red/Amber Its a mess, not sure it will get worse. Just boggy and slippery in the usual spots.
Baileys - Red, resembles a cyclocross track. Main big plus a few smaller ones.
High Roller - Only rode the first half, Amber. Beware the big rock in the g-out, bit slippery on the entrance and it would be easy to hit the side of.
BJ's - Top half would be green, bottom half red/Amber. So I am giving the trail a red, best avoided.
The management trail at the bottom of BJ's/It Happens is OK until you climb out of the gully. DOn't expect any traction at all, if your coming down in a northerly direction, don't expect to stop on the descent.
Hang Ten - Green
Snakes and Ladders - Green, small puddle on the first corner then sweet.
Seismick - green as usual.
Pump action - didn't go in but it looked very wet.
Six Shooter - Amber couple of puddles otherwise fine. Jumps were sweet.
Easy Way Out - Amber, few sloppy and slippery sections.
The main management trail is wet as usual.
Sitting on the fence here between red and amber, but I really couldn't give a loop that was clean(ish) so I am going to give it a red. I didn't get over to shaft as my rear brake exploded, but given anywhere with clay was holding water I would imagine that Shaft and possibly Suess Land would have been Red.
Didn't check the big dipper but again I am guessing it would have been a sloppy mess.
