Awaba State Forest update for 06 Aug
Rode this morning and it is as close to perfect as you could ever want. It is dry without being loose, and grippy enough to let you rail corners with complete confidence. There has been some track maintenance done recently to alleviate the long term slop pits, and there have been some jumps, lips, berms and drops added to make it exciting for longer travel bikes like mine. Perfect for a cross country pedal, and entertaining enough for the All Mountain riders who want some exercise.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 05 Aug
It was looking a little dusty today, so here is an update to bring on the wet.
Really, everything I rode was nice, bordering on dusty. Rather than list all the trails, I'll just list the issues I came across.
Kenny's - Odd puddle/bog that needs deberning, few big ruts otherwise good.
Twisties - Generally dry, few damp patches but in need of work, some big ruts.
De-Luge - Some big water holes, won't dry in a hurry.
That is really the extent of the wet (ive not listed any management trail issues). All dry and a stunning day in there today. RDO tomorrow, so more ride time for me.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 03 Aug
Hi went out last night, although didnt do twisties. Shaft has has the puddles dry out, reload is drying out still slow but not slippery, Kenny's has that first little pinch climb is still a bit slippery, and boggy section below the chute is still there and pretty bad - needs some drainage dug in (we need a semi secret shovel stowage spot somewhere). The rest of Kenny's has seen the puddles dry out since the rain - the dipper and climb out from the creek at the shitworks are both taking tyre grip without spinning.
The 4mm of rain early this week did more than i would have expected, but 3 days has pretty much neutralised it. if weather holds should be green by tomorrow arvo (though the muddy spots wont be)

Husky vs Fling
I was wondering if anyone could share their opinion on the husky vs fling. I did the husky last month and it was my first 100km. Took me 7 hrs... Anyway a few riders said to do the fling and its a great enduro which I've now entered but I've heard since then it's a much tougher ride than the husky and a lot more climbing. That's cool if it is but if anyone can share their experiences I can suss out how much I really need to step up the training. Cheers all.

Awaba State Forest update for 31 Jul
What a difference a week makes, track is tacky with no significant surface water/mud issues anywhere.

Kennys still those couple of usual bogs.
Was pretty windy today too (should help out drying).
But... did I just hear rain outside?

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 27 Jul
Still Red as of Friday night - Twisties, reload, kenny's, baileys all slippery, boggy, and drivetrain wrecking.
Climbs out of the creek at the shitworks, and the dipper are 3 pedal strokes round, one going forwards. S&L, hangten, 6 shooter, easy way out, seismic all OK. I'd generally ty and stay south of GC road FWIW.
