Ride Database Entry:
Sparrow Hill
Meeting Point:

Coming from Sydney, drive into Queenbeyan, turn left at the roundabout where Red Rooster is and stay on this road for about 11km. Park on the side of the road where the gate is. For better directions try this link CORC: Events: Race Venues.

The Community CPS 50km Duo Classic is in it’s second year running and is a joint initiative of Bec Henderson and Canberra Off Road Cyclists. The 50km mountain bike pairs race will again be held at Kowen Forest, just outside of Canberra. The race will be held on the 19th of January 2013.

Riders enter in teams of 2 but this is not a relay style event like the common endurance events. It’s about you and your teammate working together and having a good time while riding some of the best single tracks that Canberra has to offer.

Someone whinged that there weren't enough rides in the calendar

NB: Originally posted elsewhere on the Global Riders Network and appears via syndication.
When:
Saturday, 15 December, 2012 - 09:30
Ride Database Entry:
Faulconbridge Point
Meeting Point:

The ride begins proper at the gate on Grose Road. This is about 3.4km from the junction with the highway and 450m from the junction with Jennings Road (bear left here on the way out). There is 850m of gravel road to drive to the gate.

-33.665184,150.549601

So I put a ride in the calendar.

Meet at the gate before the trail starts proper. I'll be riding from home so if anyone doesn't know where said gate is I can meet you at Springwood High school (on Grose rd) a little earlier and ride up.

We'll be going for a social lap or two and then maybe a quick lap afterwards.

If it's raining (or has been raining) I won't be there. After the weather we've had this past year I'm sick of being wet and even sicker of washing bikes.
