Full trail is 8.9km in length with 118m total climbing per lap with shorter and less challenging options available to suit most capable riders.
There's a small parking area on Caley Drive next to the trail head. This is approximately 2.1km South from the larger road junction (circle) at Mt Annan Drive and approximately 1.4km South of the main car park.
Access to Gardens is via main entrance on Narellan Road.
The Gardens open 8am till 5pm or 7pm in Summer. If you are a Friend of the Garden ($65 per annum) you may access the track from sunrise to sunset (you will need to park outside the old entrance and ride in).
Access to Gardens and track is free.
Track status is found on main website - look for the MTB icon in top right corner.

Quick tip - track will often be closed for 24hrs or longer after small amounts of rain (say 1mm) in an effort to preserve the track and minimise maintenance. BOM Campbelltown weather station is within the Gardens and will provide good indication of duration of any closure. http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN60901/IDN60901...
Mt Annan is a fairly new addition to Sydney's mountain bike facilities using the Mt Annan Botanic Gardens as a picturesque setting for some fun and challenging single track. Located a few minutes out of Campbelltown, just off Narellan Rd.
Currently there is 8.9km of XC single track. The trail is a mix of raw, relatively unprepared single track with lots of off-camber corners, as well as bermed hairpins, smaller downhill blasts and rollercoaster straights. Lots of these straights contain small pumptrack style berms to keep things interesting and keep your energy up. The trail is reminiscent of other rides like Yellowmundee, Sparrow Hill and the loose dust of Stromlo. There are three trails all linked together and clearly marked with excellent signage - each section / loop gets progressively more challenging with more climbs and features. Riders can swap from one to the other, on numerous occasions during the lap to change it up or extend your loop. Trails are all ridden in one direction.
The good news? There small amount of elevation change is usually done in short pinches meaning no massive hills to climb. Trail is relatively accessible for novice riders (particularly the green loop), so is highly recommended. Fast & experienced riders can get around the full lap in approx. 30 minutes but most reasonably fit and capable riders will comfortably get around in under 45 minutes.
