First Night ride
Ok well i purchased a nitelight series 2 yesterday and was keen to test it out as I had never rode at night before unfortunately I did not have time so looked like today was the day. Loaded the car and headed up to Terrey Hills and rode Perimeter and Cowan with a little bit of the single track on Perimeter thrown in. All I have to say is man its a different experience riding trails at night, especially by myself but thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to doing more night rides and spending my time with all those noises in the bushes and the darkness that surrounds you.

near perfect day
rode the ando's and oaks combined today in preperation for capital punishment and all i can say is WOW! ridden them both before seperatley but never in weather like it was today, absolutely perfect, the sun was out, not a cloud in the sky and the air temp was just cool enough to take the overheat off.Started off at around 10 am and was just intent on taking it however it came, this is my longest ride to date, so was testing the water/ticker/lungs to see how i'd get on. verdict? yeah, it went well.

Great ride!
Wow what a great race! Felt really good for the first 50 and pretty much the whole race really. Passed Groover just after the river crossing and I didn't envy his his upcoming hill climb with only 3 gears to choose from. Kudos for sticking it out. The race plan went pretty much perfectly with nutrition working smoothly and no cramps or mechanicals. That's the good news the bad news is I really have no excuses for not going around in under 5 hours. So close but oh so far. I only went 7 mins faster than last year when I felt completely crap - funny how the body works sometimes.

The Moulton and Rhino
Hello all,
Well it was a hellova ride on those small wheels........! Thanks for the into Craig. A little background. I have ridden Moultons for around 12 years and have owned two APBs, one FSR and also hold a Stainless 17 inch SPEED S road bike. On road they are great. I brought the SPEED S and the FSR custom over from the UK about two years ago. All very different animals. The SPEED S is like riding a great Swiss wristwatch, whilst the FSR is a little more robust and crude. Both bikes have full suspension with hydrostatic on the rear of the SPEED S.

First Dirtworks (100k)
My first Dirtworks (and first 100k event) far exceeded expectations. Caught a lift with doc who was also up for his first dirtworks and after an easy drive up on saturday arvo we headed into St Albans which was packed with people and fancy bikes. We found a camp site and immediately bumped into Joe and another couple of familiar faces.

Palindrome
My first enduro event and 2nd mtb race meet. I arrived on Saturday arvo about 5, signed on, no number plate . Cold pizza and red bull for breakfast had me all fired up. I was expecting around an 8hr finish time and was stoked with sub 7hrs (also stoked to beat my brother)
The ride from the top of the 1st walk to the canoe bridge was awsome, I rode the bridge also saw a guy make 3 attempts, then he passed me on the womerah range trail. I started to cramp on the road section after the bridge but decided to spin it out.

Hmmm good testing ground for a anew bike? HELL YEAH
Well my new Bike arrived On thursday night and was put together at CBD that night.
A couple of rides on the roadd to bed in the brakes and all was good.
V and I didnt get ourselves organised with anyone else in terms of camping so pitched the tent in the paddock below the church. a perfect spot really. close enough but far enough away at the same time.....
I bit of a drama at rego but all was sorted soon enough.

1st DW 100K
What a great day. I was hoping for a time of around 7hrs and did it in just over 6.5 so i'm stoked. Having never done the 100 before (did 50K last year) I wasn't sure what to expect and how hard to push. I completed the first 50K in 2hrs 55min so was on track for a 6hr time. Little did I know how much of a wall I'd hit not long after the massive hill after the canoe bridge! I was feeling pretty slow along the top there and the hills never seemed to end! No mechanicals and only a couple of cramps so all in all a great day out. Rode the bridge too so I'm pretty happy with that.

First Enduro attempt
What a great day out and an enjoyable challenge.
This was my first ever race or enduro event and pretty pleased with the result being smack bang between goal of 6:30 and ideal of 6:00. Wanted to get a good time but not thrash myself. In hindsight that 6hrs was more than achievable, just the simple things.
