Mt Annan via train?
Hi all... does anyone know if Mt Annan is easily accessible via train? From Macarthur Station?
Google says it's 4.5k or so along Narellan Rd to the North entrance but you shouldn't always go by what it says I guess.

Underground bike trails
NO, we're not talking about "ünofficial" trails.
We're talking about trails built in such a way that you'll never have to worry about the weather again.

Wylde Roly Poly crash today - Lost Helmet
Hi all,
A guy named Michael came off on the Roly Poly today at Wylde MTB park.
I suspect his shoulder may have dislocated and popped back in.
We helped him back to the car park where somebody came to meet him and take him and his car home.
I wanted to post this because he left his Helmet in my car as we were taking him and his bike back.
I'm fairly sure he said he was from the North Shore, so I thought I would try my luck on here.
He rides a yellow 27.5 inch dually, can't remember which brand.
If any of you happen to know him please put him in touch with me.
Thanks, Zeb
Anyone ride the dam today? How is it?
Thinking of doing a few laps tomorrow morning but wondered how wet it still is?
Riding around Orange after Christmas
I am heading out to Condobolin for Christmas with my wife's family. I was thinking about doing some riding around Orange the day after boxing day.
I have only ever driven through Orange and have no idea where is best to ride.
I will be on a 4inch XC bike.
Can anyone give me some pointers as where might be best to ride??
Thanks in advance!
Good day trips in the Hunter area.
Hi, with summer approaching, a few mates and I are looking to get out of the comfortzone in Glenrock and venture on some day trips. We are looking for some superb singletrack or awesome firetrails within around 150km of Newcastle. We already have a trip to Awaba planned and were debating whether to ride the california or old bulga rd trails. Any hints/suggestions? cheers

Ourimbah this weekend
Looking for some local knowledge as to how the XC trails at Ourimbah have held up with all this rain? I'm hoping to come up from Sydney for a ride tomorrow, I know it normally drains really well there but just thought I'd check given the heavy and constant rain down here.

Bright
hi all,
heading to Bright for holidays soon. Apparently the riding is amazing and there's about 50ks worth of single track around town.
Does anyone know where to find a trail map? I've had a look around the web and the usual sites but couldn't find anything.
Thanks
Fitting a tapered steerer into a straight headtube
I recently scored a set of 2012 RS reba forks for a good price, the only problem was they had a tapered steerer and my old Giant XTC (2003) was setup for a straight steerer. After a little bit of research and measuring I came to the conclusion that the original headset was an internal cup or zero stack and the ID of the headtube was 44mm, this meant I could get a EC44/40 bottom cup from Hope's 'mix and match' range and it would accept the tapered steerer with a stack height of 14mm. when I got it I was really impressed by the quality and it fitted well without a problem.
Missing person
One of my best mates has gone missing, he went missing around lunch on tuesday so if anyone has seen him since please let the police know. His last known location was Mount riverview and he was on foot, we are very concerned because of his mental state of late. You might know him because he has been a barista in the mountains for a long time

Orange this Saturday
Hi All,
I might be heading west to Orange for cherry picking with the family, and it seems that there are some nice trails to be ridden there as well why not kill 2 birds with one trip.
Looking at the weather observations there looks like Orange copped a bit of rain on the weekend too.
Are the the trails in a ride-able condition ?
Looks like Kinross State Forest is place to ride.
Any inputs are welcome
Cheers,
Mario
