Mountainbike orienteering - 26 August
Has anyone here done any mountainbike orienteering? I did one race - it was fun, but I really sucked at it! (reason being that I just rode the tracks between checkpoints which looked interesting, rather than were fast. I ignored the fireroad and bitumen and cruised on the slow singletrack 
The NSW MTBO club are running another race near Raymond Terrace up North - on the 28th August.

Tour of Oaks?
Well with Andrew planning a night ride of the Oaks, I want to have a look at the trail in the day before I try it at night!
Is anyone keen on showing me round there during the day possibly this weekend? I know Shano has planned a big ride in Galston so I can do Sunday too if that works better.

I'm going to head out this arvo, hoping to be there around 2-230 just to check it out as I've never been there before.
Given all the talk about it being knocked down I got up this morning and had the urge. I know its late notice for today but if your about the place then come along.
But the main reason for this post is that I'll probably go next weekend as well if all goes well today. Anyone interested in coming along?
Oaks at night??

How about the Oaks at night my mate and I both really love riding the Oaks and he has just got some HID’s so we are keen as to give this one a bash. Below are some logistics for the ride. But if you know what to expect just skip this part and sign up! We'll figure out a time and train closer to the date. Are there any establishment’s in Glenbrook for a drink and dinner afterwards?
Potential Dates 18th August, 1st September, 15th September. I'm not sure if we can accommodate everyone but we'll it a try!

Ok so I'm looking to have an explore round Menai again, only my second attempt, and keen to get a head start. Does anyone have maps/guides to the trails there? Would anyone want to come along tomorrow middayish?

Is anyone interested in a Wednesday night tide this week? Unfortunately I cannot make this Tuesdays ride and am keen to get out and do some km's. Was looking to do the perimeter and long trails at Terry Hills and then the Never Fail Gully. Meet about 7pm at the tavern.

Question re Kincumber
Hi All
My son and I are on the Central Coast tomorrow and Friday and I am thinking of having a quick look at Kincumber.
I followed with interest the thread regarding the ride there and have a bit of an idea of where the trails are from the maps etc.
My question is: if you only have say an hour to an hour and a half, which is the best area on the map for a bit of single track joy?
Is it the stuff to the north east? or the trails to west north west of the picnic area at the top of Island View drive?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Just wondering if anybody is interested in doing a ride on Sunday?
Same story as for Saturday: somewhere dryish, riding for a few hours not tooooo far away...
Would love to go to Kincumber, missed out last time, even though it seems stupid to do the same ride on two consecuitve days.
Also possible: The Oaks, Ourimbah, Wisemans Ferry , somewhere south?, or maybe just Terry Hills (wasn't too bad even in the rain last time)...
Ideas...?
