Trance X1 - Drive Train exchange

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi guys, looking for a good advice, please.
I lost a couple teeth on my mid-ring. Also, there is quite a bit of wear on a cassette and I broke my chain twice.
It's Giant Trance X1 2008, purchased late July 08. Does it make sense it's just about time to replace a few parts?
I would like to have the same or at least the same quality parts installed. What I need is cassette, chain rings and chain itself at least. How would you go about it?
I made a couple of phone calls and it seems they have to order all stuff in anyway.

What size you wearing. I'm thinking of trying 'em and that large is the way to go, but according to their sizing I'm on the cusp with a medium so... hmmmmm... advice please.

nobmob shuttle trailer?

So... my brother-in-law has a trailer he doesn't want any more - he is currently taking a photo of it (which I am hoping Hero Rob will post for me) but meanwhile, I thought maybe you downhillers may want a trailer to convert and use on your day trips? He wants it to go to a nice home...

Tooth rescue box availability - Kit to keep in your backpack

I have been investigating what is available in Australia and though fellow MTBkrs would appreciate this info. BTW, I don't work for this company nor do I profit from it's sale - just thought I'd share my research with you.

MTBking can often lead to accidents where a tooth is broken. The chances of it being reimplanted are normally very low. Only 25% of avulsed teeth are successfully reimplanted. This is because the tooth is still 'alive' and can die very quickly before it can be reattached by a dentist.

clip in peddles

Having just completed the DW100 with flat peddles (I think i was the only one that was not clipped in) i think its about time for me to graduate to clip ins.

I mainly ride Red Hill and have seen some unfortunate incidents with people not clipping out in time..

Looking at whats available, I see that there are some clip in peddles that are incorporated in a flat peddle, seems that this might be useful for both occasions.

Should I bother with those or are they just the worst of both ( not a good clip in and not a good flat peddle )..

thanks in advance

Mission or Teocali

Hi All

Looking at buying an all mountain bike, tossing up between a Mongoose Teocali Elite and a DiamondBack Mission 2.

Anyone got an opinion?

Cheers Mitch.
