Lazy Riders Stromlo
For reasons beyond my control, some of us won't be arriving at Stromlo 'til midday Saturday.
This is a ride for that lazy lot.
Yellomundee MTB Grand Prix 2008
There will be signs. Hawkesbury Rd is a good place to aim for.
The first Mountain Bike Grand Prix will be held by Rocky Trail Entertainment together with the WSMTB Club in Yellomundee (Sydney, Lower Blue Mountains) on the weekend of 4 & 5 October 2008.

All Aboard for Appin!
Never been to Appin, and I hear it is pretty good. So, who coming? Looks like a very nice area based on the photos. Even those Cannondale boys seem to enjoy it, so anyone can do it!!
I am not fussed about rider numbers for this, so the more the merrier. Does anyone know how technical the trails are? Some of the photos look as though there will be some walking parts if you are a noob. Maybe call this one intermediate skill level? Anyway, best use your own judgement, unless some of the veterans want to enlighten us.
Terry Hills "Newbies Ride"
The Carpark across the road from the bottle shop at Terry Hills shops
I am taking a friend who is new to bike riding, my 14 yr old boy and his mate, for a leisurely paced ride this Sunday morning.
The complete Terry Hills "out and back" is aprox 22km but we may not do the whole distance.
Anybody is welcome to join, especially if you have been looking for a slow introduction into mountain bike riding.
Make sure you have a helmet, good joggers, spare tube 26” & water.
Also an energy bar or banana for the half way breather. Gloves are good too!
Sign up so I know to look out for you and / or text me if you’re lost.

Yellowmundee Club Race - Round 4
There's a car park on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
The WSMTB Club web site has some directions on how to get there. http://www.wsmtb.com/xc.shtml
This is a combined series put on by MWMTB Club & WSMTB Club.
All seriousness aside this is a lot of fun Yellowmundee is a nice track and there are different grades you can enter. The couple of races that I have entered so far have had a good number of riders so you are always trying to catch the next guy or hold someone off. Cost from memory is $15.00 for a day licence and $10.00 to race.
Cascades Night Ride
Corner of Elm & Ralston Ave
Haven't been here for a while and never been here at night. Going for a medium paced spin;
Start at Elm and go to St Ives, then up to Davidson, then up Quarry, back up Heath to the cars.
TONIGHT: Social Night Ride: Terrey Hills [Perimeter + Long Trail]
Terrey Hills Tavern - Eastern Car park
Social night ride - Perimeter & Long trail [Everyone welcome - paced to accommodate newbies, too!]
Moderate pace...still recovering from the MTB overnighter...
...plus we can give an update on all the anecdotes from the fabulous Blue Mountains trip, the epic single tracks and funny campfire tales...(and plan the next one)
Naturally we'll have a cleansing ale at the Tavern afterwards (since we missed out on Bernd's homebrew!!!)
See you this eve...
Hans
Terrey Hills - Training Ride
Terrey Hills shops (near the Bush Fire Brigade station)
