Need to stretch the legs, Angry Doctor coming up soon!
Coffs Mountain Marathon
Good fun last year, time to do it again. Angry Doctor should be a nice warm-up for this!
First 25km's was excellent single track, 100km riders dried it out real nice for those that followed.

NSW State XC round at Blue Gum Lodge
This might be the only chance we get to ride here this year, the track in on private property and other users get priority. It's a great fun little track and the start for non-elite types is at a very reasonable time so plenty of time to sleep in or squeeze in an early ride up the Oaks to warm up. Entries are available on line at www.brightorangeevents.com
Rego Opens 6:15am
Formal Practice 6:15am to 8:30am
Rego Closes 15 mins before the start of the race
Race Starts 9am: Elite Men, Elite Women
12 Midday: All other adult categories
Quarry Rd - Galston Gorge
End of Stewart ave Hornsby Heights
This will be an easy hit out to turn the legs over following the weekend riding, all are welcome, but don't expect a fast pace.
Ourimbah Explore/Training
The plan is, well there is no plan. I have never been here before so this is more of an exploring ride. I ride XC so this is not a hard core down hilling adventure but always happy to have a look.
I will look at the ride database before Saturday so hopefully I will have some idea but if anyone signs up with local knowledge that would be good.
Also, while this is an exploring ride I do like to ride at a decent pace.
Terrey Hills Training Ride
Terrey Hills car park near the shops
I intend on doing Duck Hole + Centre twice or Perimeter + Long + Duck Hole. The intention is to be at a steady pace with minimal stops.
I have never done these at night so I am not sure what we can cover in 2 hours.
Edit: Time change to 7:15pm.
Pikey's Slow 33 Km loop.
end of Wyatt Ave, Belrose. I'll be the hansom bearded one!
As I couldn't do canberra this weekend I am going to do my new favourate loop this coming Monday. Yes will get a bit wet but I have a mountain bike and I'm not afaid to get it dirty.
We will take in parts of the Cascades, the St Ives Showground, wild flower gardens then back via heath track (33km).
There is nothing Technical on this ride, just a few hills, which we can walk and talk.
If your keen on a slow long social ride then sign up.

Single track fun
Hazelbrook train station carpark on the south side
Hi folks, here's a fun and popular ride for those not doing the trek down to Canberra. Open to all. The exact ride will be decided as we go to suit the group.
Wiseman's Ferry epic ride
Car park in the reserve by the ferry wharf.
Ooooooooooooh, Matron, slap the gloves on and grab the vaseline - this one's gunna hurt!
I did this 100k ride solo at the end of summer and it was a bit of an epic - seeing as I thought it was only 80k's, I ran out of water, and there was a flood on the road at St Albans which forced me to push through 1km of waist deep water. However, it was an awesome day and I'm going to do it again because a0 it was fun and b) it'll be a good indicator of how much more training I need to do for the Angry Doctor.
CORC 24 Hour 2008
