It's On
Oxford Falls at night
This seemed to be the consensus from last Wednesday. We can do whatever combination of trails suits the group that makes it, but probably at least the XC trail, moon rock, and if we're feeling adventurous the road to nowhere/somewhere...
Ta,
Matt.
PS - Now moved to Tuesday.
Ourimbah - XC/DH
Meetup at Ourimbah, a bit of XC loop action via the Rollercoaster, Graveyard and main loop, bit of an explore of some unfamiliar sections, then some DH runs. Can't shuttle more than 2 or 3 bikes and people in my car unfortunately so if we have more than that then we will have to have a ute or bike rack...
My DH runs are just going to be practise, nothing hardcore, still working on my descents!
Manly Dam and Bantry Bay
Silly buggers for a few hours and maybe 2 laps for the heck of it.
Lane Cove Novice Ride
South End of Kissing Point Road. You might want to park at the shops near the BP servo and Ride down. I'll prolly park right at the end of the Kissing Point road.
This is novice stuff. We don't like massive hills. Myself and a couple friends frequent Lane Cove. We will do a nice up and back with a small loop at the end. This ride is ideal for a novice.
RNP Cruise
What the title says... meet at Loftus Oval and cruise the trails around there for couple of hours.
Have to be done by 11-ish so can't really go too far South.
Xmas BBQ
BBQ Area 1C, Manly Dam. Drive to King Street, Manly Vale then carry on into the picnic area. Will confirm just how far in 1C is later.
Just to set the date.
Have booked BBQ area 1C on Dec 15th. The area is reserved all day so the tentative time of 1PM is changeable. If we go for a midday ride (mad dogs and...?) and it's stinking a quick dip in the Dam might be very nice before some fud.
Sadly the covered areas like we had before were all gone but given our immense stash of poles and tarps and portable gazebos I'm sure the NoBMoB gang can do something about shade.
Things seemed to work out quiet well last time, so same deal again? Basically, BYO everything?
Wednesday Dam ride
Open for business again, see you there.
MWMTB STXC & Cyclo-cross
St Ives Showground
Last time I convinced Rob to take his Celeste Indulgence off-road it ended in tears, lets see if he's prepared to give it a go in it's more natural environment (sans 1000's of screaming drunk Belgians).
CX racing will start at 6:30 & is preceded by Short Track XC - the event described by Paul Rowney as the Hurricane of Pain! Come to race or just to watch the Spectacle.
