Awaba State Forest update for 26 Mar

Status:
Green/Open

Ssssssssssssswwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttttt! Rockier and rootier than I remember, but tacky and even dusty in places. No mud or puddles after the recent rain. BTW, have they shortened the Camelbak climb, and how much fun is the downhill after it?

Cascades update for 25 Mar

Area:
Cascades
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

I'm calling Cascades Orange... didn't think it'd happen!

After the rain there are some big erosion channels and exposed rocks. Most of the lines have changed so if you're used to barreling down from Ralston or Acron Oval you may want to knock off a couple of K's speed

Manly Dam update for 25 Mar

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Just in from the rangers:

Good Afternoon Riders,

Good news. We have just completed an inspection of the track, and will be re-opening it later this afternoon to enable weekend use.

We do ask that riders exercise caution as the high velocity flows experienced last weekend have caused some erosion in sections and the track surface may have shifted slightly.

Regards,

Manly Dam Rangers

Does anyone have some....

...good cycling stats on number of cyclists in Sydney/Australia etc. I am trying to get some funding from work for cycling kit, better facilities for those of us who commute etc. I am looking for data on both commuter numbers as well as number of cyclists in general (as kit can be worn on weekend rides).

Any help appreciated!!
