A few people recently have expressed interest in riding at Menai, so here it is.

I have no planned route at the moment and I’ll wait and see who comes along before deciding on where to go. However, my plan is to ride for at least three hours.

Red Hill - Super happy fun day

When:
Sunday, 24 May, 2009 - 09:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Red Hill
Meeting Point:

Red Hill Reserve car park, off Lady Penryhn Drive, Beacon Hill. Another option is to ride over here from Oxford Falls.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

I'll be taking some friends up to Red Hill on Sunday morning and planning to ride a big loop that covers pretty much everything up there. Starting from the usual meeting point, head over to the down hill track, back up the 4wd track to the top, rim ride, drop zone and whatever else we find whilst there.

This will be a fairly easy paced ride, but probably not suitable for those not comfortable with the rough stuff. Leave the lycra at home and bring the big bike.

Trance X1 - Drive Train exchange

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi guys, looking for a good advice, please.
I lost a couple teeth on my mid-ring. Also, there is quite a bit of wear on a cassette and I broke my chain twice.
It's Giant Trance X1 2008, purchased late July 08. Does it make sense it's just about time to replace a few parts?
I would like to have the same or at least the same quality parts installed. What I need is cassette, chain rings and chain itself at least. How would you go about it?
I made a couple of phone calls and it seems they have to order all stuff in anyway.

Pikey's ride (not quite) revisited

When:
Wednesday, 20 May, 2009 - 19:35

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Meeting Point:

Terrey hills tavern

**CHANGE OF PLAN**
As there has been quite a bit of rain in the last 24 hours, the trails I was originally hoping to ride will be a little too damp for a fun ride tonight.

So, off to duckhole and centre track meaning we can be back in time to order food at the tavern instead.
