Anyone up for a ride next wednesday afternoon 3 October 2007?

Anyone up for a ride next wednesday afternoon 3 October 2007?
I would be keen for someone to show me a new track around sydney but am not overly fussed.
Nothing way too technical because I don't want to break any bones before the 24 hour race in three weeks.

Cheers

Matt

the gazzernator!

Got this trendy thing put on instead of the cast. Could have done with this on when I crashed, major protection.

The Oaks

Ok, so its a long weekend coming up and I'm going to take the opportunity to do the Oaks under lights. Rugby Saturday night so Sunday is the go, (sorry but the league doesn't rate on my radar).

Please note that the time posted is the train time so make sure you are there with plenty of time to get sorted, onto the platform and get a ticket, thats Glenbrook station for those that don't know.

Monday at Ourimbah?

Just back from a weeks holiday (in Perth without the bike ;-{) so looking to make the most of the long weekend with a decent outing on Monday. How does Ourimbah at 10-ish sound for a bit of XC and DH? If there's enough interest I'll post up a ride meet.

Ta,
Matt.

I'm going to be a bit lazy this weekend and skip the long drive out to Lithgow on Saturday. So anyone else feeling the same might like to join me closer to home Sunday morning.

I'm thinking one of the following rides: Dural (xc course), Cascades (St Ives), Ingleside (kind of downhill...anyone want to do shuttles?...that would be awesome), Manly Dam, or Ourimbah xc. Sorry to be vague re location at this stage but the reason being is that I'm open to opinion. I will be doing one of them - I'll put up a final post by late Friday.

Visiting George?

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hello!
If anyone is intending on visiting George apart from making a time with him for when he is home, please can you NOT visit if you have just been bike riding in either Terrey Hills, Duffy's Forest, Cascades or Oxford Falls - the horse flu is now in all of those areas and I really don't want to risk someone bringing it in. Apparently it lives on people and items - tyres etc from 48 - 72 hours so the horse site is telling us...
Most of you know I have two horses at my place which so far are free of all symtoms...I really want to keep it that way.

Speed cycling on the flat

Oh yeah... it's not as cool as the DH one, but here's the vid of the nutters who tape themselves into aerodynamic cocoons with 100 tooth big rings and cycle on the flat:

Look at the part 54 seconds in when the dude is cracked from his shell after giving it some. Any air in there, son? Eye-wink
