Centre Track update for 17 Jul
Quite wet, with lots of standing water, but still rideable. Despite 2 laps of DH + C, the crunchy drivetrain sound effects didn't sound as bad as I expected, but the brakes ...

Yellomundee Regional Park update for 17 Jul
We had a great ride at Yellomundee on Sat 16 July. With just a touch of rain the night before the tracks were firm and fast.
Looks good for the WSMTB race on Sunday 24 July!

Giant Anthem choice
Hi, I am considering and upgrage from an Anthem X3 and after some advice on this.
Looking at a 2nd hand Anthem XO 2009 http://www2.giant-bicycles.com/en-au/bikes/mount....
In good condition with very little off road use, if any. Upgraded to FOX RL100 w/ REMOTE LOCK-OUT and XTR Crankset
or
A NEW Giant Anthem X1 2011 = 12 months free servicing (Time saver!!)
Thinking the 2011 Anthem X1 - being brand new with the new frame design
Any thoughts?? - Both are same price
Awaba State Forest update for 16 Jul
There were a few slippery patches on the first couple of laps however it was all good by lunchtime. The new section of track seemed to handle the traffic ok.

National Parks - Sydney North
Local rider reps met with NPWS last week to discuss where things were at and also talked with contacts in State Government. This has been ongoing since we initially met with NPWS and policy advisors in 2009 http://nobmob.com/node/11175.
We were informed that recent meetings had taken place with Mike Baird (State Treasurer, whom has been helping us last few years) and the Office of Environment (formerly DECCW, under which NPWS resides) and all was positive.

The Welby 3hr Enduro: a fun filled, friendly race over a varied mixed track with some new single track added. This race will provide our juniors an opportunity to test their endurance levels in teams and older and open riders to either ride as solo or teams of two. We're aiming to provide a great morning of competitive racing on this short testing track. Look out for some fun new track!

Mount Annan Botanic Garden update for 16 Jul
In good condition today
it sprinkled a couple of times but the track is still fine
if it pours overnight then it might be amber but I say it should be fine all weekend of its forecasted to only be 10mm of rain
