Cracked Mission
Hi All
Does anyone else on NobMob ride a Diamondback Mission???
I have a 2007 Mission which is such a well balanced and stable ride. Sadly it developed a crack in the downtube where the knucklebox pivot is attached to the frame. What is most disapointing is it happened riding a service trail (Charlottes Pass to Rawsons Pass) with my 7 year old. I did not even get to ride it at Thredbo and had to rent a Kona.

Terrey Hills update for 06 May
Just rode Perimeter and Long.
There's a couple of puddles on Perimeter and the creek crossing deep enough to wet one shoe but the rest is nice and dry.
There's a definite couple of wheel tracks that have packed down the sand and it is now quite fast. I don't think there is any more loose sand now than there was prior to grading.
The climb out towards the end of Long is now smooth and the descent not far after that which was quite loose and tricky is now clean and a lot safer.
Do you have more information?
If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.
Please do not post comments with such information - post a new update with the link above.

Do you trust your Garmin Edge mount?
G;Day all
Bought a Garmin Edge 305 last week ready for the Dirtworks 100 and overall love it to bits.
My only niggling fear is how strong is the mount. Has anyone had experience with it falling off during a fast bumpy section of trail?.
I would like to be able to attach an extra safety strap somewhere, but it doesnt look possible.
Finally, whilst riding the kayak bridge on Sunday, I also wondered if they were waterproof!
Cheers for any comments

Crocodile Trophy
Hi Guys,
As we had quite a view NoBMobbers in last year's Rocky Trail Show this might be of interest:
We are giving away another free entry to the Crocodile Trophy this year worth $2600. This is the way it works:
MTB GP 1 will be the qualifying event where you need to do 75% + of the winner's time in your category.
If you achieve that there will be a round of voting on burningtrails.com where you get a timebonus for every vote.
The JetBlack WSMTB 12 hour will be the decider of who gets the ticket: fastest time + timebonus

Yes we're going out again.
The local NPWS rangers are wanting to take some visitors, NPWS managers out to look at the trails during the second week of May.
These guys have a lot of say in the funding and future of our volunteer group and the mountainbike trails project. So we'd like to show them some good work.
We will be working on the 'Shit Happens' site again, to tidy it up and try to have it completely finished.

all aboard for APPIN
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
North end of Burke St, Appin. There's a small parking area here at the trail head.
Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.
a few cruisy laps with time to chat and regroup a short break between laps to refuel ,no set agender just a bit of fun

Easton-Bell Sports?
Easton gear is real nice and while looking for some specs accidentally visited their parent corporate site.
Check it out, there's a nice little trailer on the homepage at the moment. Clips from a number of rather cool sports, including cycling of course:

There's also some good tech film and product test shots on the Easton Cycling page:

You'd think they would post this stuff on YouTube, but can't find it there
P.S. This is the site I was looking for: http://www.eastonbike.com
