i've been looking for the details of the next race at Ourimbah and cant find anything.
i'm sure it was next week but i've tried to get onto the Ccmtb website and it's constantly down.
any of you Coasties have any news on whats going on?

I got a call from a Kiwi mate last night and his recent experience with bureaucrats on MTB'ing is the complete antithesis of what we're battling.
The below links are to the govt planned $50m NZ cycle trail plan and my mates proposal which has just got the ok from govt for millions of dollars of funding. Yes that's right not only is the govt interacting with cycle groups, they're championing it and even happy to fund the trails!!
Ayups for trail running?
Am contemplating the purchase of some MTB lights. Thinking I will get out a lot more in winter if I can ride at night. Also contemplating 24hr races so a must have obviously. Anyway, I like the look of AYUPS (and have absolutely no skill to make my own lights at home so pls don't hijack thread) but the lights will also be used for trail running. I'd guess 80% MTB 20% running. The 20% running is fairly serious (in terms of duration and offroad, definitely not speed!!) though so can't just get the best MTB lights and hope they work ok for running.

Note that the map shows Market Street connecting Appin Rd to this location but that is actually a firetrail and will not work for drivers who should take King St (next block South) and enter from there.

From Lithgow head on the Western Highway toward Bathurst. After 10-11Km you will head uphill and see thick pine forest to the right. It's dual carriageway here, and there's a right turn across the other lane into Forest Ridge Drive (signposted and a sealed road). About 50m on the left there's a turning where you can park in the shade. There's also an old concrete section of the highway just past there with masses of parking.

Duck Hole/Terrey Hills Trail update for 19 Feb
Rode Duck Holes/ Center track this arvo. some small puddles on Duck Holes, Center was dry.
