Red Hill update for 22 Feb
Green for most of it, the rim ride is dry , but still boggy on the cromer connector side, so I'm giving it an amber.

Singletrack at Tinonee
Dropped into a bike shop in Tuncurry yesterday, and mention was made of about 30km of singletrack network at Tinonee, southwest of Taree. Trail features some low bridges and skinnies apparently.
It's about 4hrs drive north of Sydney, but I have a house we can bunk down at in Forster (my folks') - providing you promise to behave. I'm thinking last weekend in March.
I'm likely to be up for a second shoulder op in April/May so this would be last big ride for awhile. I don't know the area at all, so will probably try to organise a local guide.
Who's interested?

Terrey Hills update for 21 Feb
Rode here late Sunday afternoon. A few small puddles mostly on the perimeter track but I rode around most of them and the rest I just went slowly through

So So Day In The Saddle
No plan to race very hard today just wanted to circulate at an easy pace and have a fun ride, which I generally did.
Started of nice and relaxed with very consistent lap times not pushing my limits at all and enjoying the ride. It was a great morning for it but it didn’t take long for the day to heat up which started to sap my energy levels and with no gels to stick in the tank it was going to be difficult to keep going.

Secret Mountain Bikers' Business - a Call for Volunteers
We need a large number of volunteers for a secret and important task that will lift our chances of success in getting Council to remove this ridiculous ban.
I can't tell you what it is on here (I'd have to kill you - messy), but it will not be dangerous nor illegal. It DOES require you to (a) be discreet and (b) keep your commitments so that you don't leave the other volunteers in the lurch.
It's best if you live near the Dam, but assistance from further afield is very welcome. It will require an hour or two of your time and the task will occur over a couple of weekends in March.

Yelowmundee 4hr Enduro - WSMTB Summer Series
A perfect morning for an endurance race. Got up in the dark at 5:30 and set off by 6 for a 7am rego and 8am start.
The sun rose as a giant orange ball in the sky behind me as I drove out there, and there was mist on the paddocks giving it a crispy feeling. Perfect for riding! Met up with Gav, V and Onegear in the usual spot, and after the usual rush to get everything organised the race began.
I set out with a clear objective to do well, finish strongly and see how I'm measuring up in a solo 'race of truth'....

Cascades update for 21 Feb
Has held up well with all the rain. A few puddles, but generally the bike wasn't too muddy at the end of the ride.

Does any body have a gpx file of the bicentennial trail between Jenolan caves and Aberdeen? I am going to be riding around there for Easter and I am not sure how well marked the trail is. Thanks.
