Upcoming Cycling Event
Hello NoBMob Members,
Sunday Feb 28th will see the first Arms Brunch for Cyclists take place. This is the first event of its kind run by cyclists, for cyclists, about cycling. There will be a buffett style brunch as well as presentations on nutrition and hydration for cycling, x-training for cycling and bike maintenance.
The event is for both Road and Off-Road riders and is a great chance to mingle, learn a bit more about your sport and raise money for a great cause. All the details can be found at www.stickytickets.com.au/2866
Hope to see you there.

[Mod. in our calendar: Public meeting with NPA]
THE FUTURE of mountain biking at Narrabeen Lagoon will be debated at a public forum on Monday, February 22.
Hosted by the Friends of Narrabeen Lagoon Catchment, the forum follows the recent banning of bike riding from single-track sections of Manly Dam, the last legal ones of their kind in Sydney.

Bobbin Head update for 18 Feb
Bobbin Head track and Jacob track both OK yesterday. Still a few wet bits on top of the ridge and some additional and deeper rutting on the Bobbin Head descent on the bits where there are no water bars, so take it easy first time on that bit. Otherwise, the sand build up behind the water bars means a more friendly take off angle!

North Turramurra update for 18 Feb
As at 17 Feb, Murrua Track to "no tankers" sign is fine, including side track starting near the gate. Single track from Samuel King Oval to Macrae Pl has a couple of boggy bits. Rest not ridden since the big rains.

Spread the news in the office
Dunno about anyone else, but there are quite a few cyclists in the office I frequent at the moment.
So I printed out the main jist of the Manly Dam story, a little explanatory text and the council's press release and stuck it up in the bike cage.
While I was doing this two guys asked about it and were horrified. One claimed to never ride an MTB but then when he saw it was Manly Dam said, "Oh yead - I've been there!"

Husky Enduro 2010
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
This is the recheduled event, first attempt was cancelled due to bad weather.

Bag For commuting.
Hi,
I have recently started commuting to work, i current;y have started easing into this and at the start and end of the week catching the bus and using this as my way to get all my gear into work for the week, Towel etc.
My question is, What is a good size bag that would need to hold at the most a Towel, change of clothes and probably a spare tube etc.. I am lucky that I work in casual clothes. So no need for suits, basically jeans/shorts and t-shirts!
