6th March Manly Dam "Protest Ride" => "Joy Ride"?
Just wondering, now that the trail has been reopened to MTB's, can this ride be turned into a joy ride?
The Dam will never have seen so many riders going around the trail at the same time!!!

Royal National Park update for 23 Feb
road here this morning, met a guy who was 73 on his mtb (new giant trance) who had ridden from Karrella - how good is that! hope i'm doing the same thing when i am in my 70's.
at last saturday's trail maintenance day we did work on some of the muddy areas (track from the rail line down to temptation creek), so hopefully next time it rains we won't end up with so many muddy sections

Northern Beaches Trail Planning for NOBMOB and MWMTB
Lets keep the ball rolling!
So where to from here...im happy to see mwmtb and nobmob taking the lead with this on a public level, so i guess with so many members on nobmob and mwmtb combined, they need to join forces unofficially and stay on the same page and not go of in different directions
This will make sure all decision making is done to the benefit of all disciplines of mountain biking.

UPDATE: 10:54AM 23/2
The Manly Daily has requested to be able to send a photographer between 6:00 and 6:30 to the session tonite. This needs a Council resolution.
It is rare for TMD to pay overtime, so this is a BIG DEAL. We need to PACK that gallery. See below for details.

The mayor has flip-flopped again on mtb access to Manly Dam singletrack. We need to encourage him to develop some backbone when it matters most.

Post public meeting with NPA chat
Let's keep this civil! We dont want to insult any of the speakers or comments from tonight..

FAQs regarding bike track temporary closure
Monday 22 February 2010
What is happening?
It has come to Warringah Council's attention that parts of the shared track around Manly Dam are not technically approved for bike riding and as such, Council had no choice but to close those stretches of track to riders until the Plan of Management has reviewed bike riding in the park.

MANLY DAM - COUNCIL CONCERNS SAFETY - WHAT A JOKE
The following email sent to Council.
Hello unfortunate person who has to cop my verbals,
I love my mountain bike riding and consider it away to unstess and not have to worry about
the crazy motorists who have no consideration for bikers that use the road, hence why I only stick to trails.
