Convict 100 2015
Hard to believe that this was my 6th time racing the Convict, where does the time go!
Just prior to the original date of this race I spent 2 weeks in Europe, snowboarding and belatedly celebrating my 40th birthday. That 2 weeks, as enjoyable as it was, had set me back in terms of training and readiness for the original date and so I wasn’t unhappy when the event was cancelled due to the storms that we had at the time.
Fast forward a few months and training had been going well despite very limited time on the MTB due to the run of wet weather.

Blackbutt Reserve - Killara update for 10 Aug
A couple of persistent wet spots, but otherwise good. Nice traffic lines most of the way.

Withdrawn: Scott Genius MC40 Medium 2010
I have for sale my 2010 Scott Genius MC40 26 inch medium mountain bike.
I bought this bike new in 2010.
Bike retailed over $4k new.
Included in the sale is a spare rear wheel, rear deraileur,chain rings and tyres.
I have had the rear shock serviced last week prior to sale - I have the receipt for $450.
Bike is currently set up tubeless and 2 x with bashguard.
Rear wheel is Stans Crest on Hope Pro 2 Hub.
This is a really capable bike bike and extremely light given the amount of travel it has.
Bike located in Cromer.

2015 Convict 100
After a 1 year absence from the Convict I was eager to get back to St Albans. I ride up there a lot and I really enjoy it. I had ridden reasonably consistently over winter but I wouldn't really call it training. I had done a couple of club races at Ourimbah so that was a nice bit of intensity.
I also had tonsillitis the week leading in but that mostly cleared up and I lined up feeling pretty OK. (haha ok that's all the excuses!)
Hard to Mark Improvement?
Having started a new job approximately 8 weeks ago I said to myself I would give my self time to settle into work life and the adjustments that are needed to fit training around work/travel/other commitments and possible look at maybe the fling once I had settled. This lasted approximately 4 weeks before i decided I needed some excitement on the weekends and entered the convict 100 mid July.
Recommendations for LBS for bike service on Lower North Shore
Just wondering if anyone has any red hot recommendations for an LBS on the Lower North Shore who do great bike services?
Terrey Hills update for 09 Aug
Perim and Long from NBCS - still a few puddles but all avoidable - swimming pool on Long almost gone. Duck Holes same story with Centre dry

Aggressive driver Terry hills - Watch out Brown Nissan Pulsar
As cyclists we interact with some monumental idiots on the road but this guy is showing form and so posting a warning. Last week saw this driver blasting his horns and being a DH to two girls on McCarrs then he closed shaved me and the next guy at speed. This morning saw him again around 9am as I was heading into Duck Holes - doing the same thing this time I was lucky and on opposite side of the road. Cleary a local or regular.
The guy has a problem with bikes - It's a dark brown POS Nissan Pulsar - Plate starts with WMN - I think.
Watch out and try and get his plate
