Post Jetblack Maintenence

Post Jetblack Sydney 24 the Yeti needed a bit of TLC.

It got new brake pads front and rear (obviously!) and just hope the front rotor doesn't eat the new set as despite being only 2 laps old had clearly been metal on metal for quiet a lot of that second lap.

BB as removed, cleaned and replaced. Ditto for seatpost clamb. Ditto for skewers (if you can call the front axle a skewer). Everything else just got a good clean.

While we're mentioning these things - the rear brake on the Rush got a bleed and what came out was nasty black fluid. Yerch!

Gauging interest for NoBMoB only AMBC Day

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Update: OK, it's on June 14 20 @ Ourimbah. Cost will be half price (ie. $80pp).

http://nobmob.com/node/9456

After the talk in that thread asking about AMBC thought I would have a talk with them about it. Clearly feedback like this is a good thing and I'm pleased someone who sponsors the site is so highly regarded.

I mentioned the level of interest here and asked if we could get a NoBMoB only day going. No worries they say, and if we did this could get a discount thrown in too. Nice! Smiling

Beware Ribble Buyers

Hi all,

If you have ordered from Ribble in the last 6 months i suggest you check your credit card statement, it seems as though your credit card details may have been stolen.
I was charged approx $1200 over the weekend (comes up as being charged from CEBU AIR), i ordered from Ribble back in November and December. It seems as though others have had the same problem and Ribble is the common denominator, see here http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?...
I had to cancel my card and get a new one issued.
So check ASAP

Bicycle/Motorbike?

Look what I came across on the way to work this morning. I stopped to help the guy on the red bike. He wanted a screw driver to get his chain for the motor back on the sprocket. I thought this contraption was quite amusing. Then to my amazement another bicycle/motorbike rocked up and helped him. So I thought I'd take a photo and head on my merry way to work Smiling

Classifieds

It's been a while coming, but in trying to be more organised have added a classifieds section. You know - where you can post for sale & wanted ads. instead of posting them in the forum.

It has a handy status field so come back and change that to 'Sold', 'Found' (if you were looking for something) or 'Withdrawn' - for random change of mind. Eye-wink

As with rides you can tag for the discipline of interest. I put up James' bike rack in multi-discipline for an example (and for a bit of testing) as it would be of interest to most riders.

The old forum will stay in the archives, but no new posts are allowed in there. Might add the ability to add pictures and stuff later, but not for a while.

Enjoy! Smiling
