Time for a change?

When:
Wednesday, 25 February, 2009 - 19:03

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Meeting Point:

Terry Hills Tavern (Please park on the street)

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

OK, Time for a varied route.

We start at the Tavern heading to the showground, duck into sandy then into Pauls epiphany trail that runs low coming out behind the showground. Cut through the showground then traverse on the single track back to the Sandy trail head.
Go down on Sandy then we do Neverfail then Larool then road it back to the Tavern for a cleansing Ale!

2.5 hours is my guess with a steady pace.

Not for the beginner or unfit. (Im going as I'm the host)

A good training ride but at a social pace

Manly Dam - track condition?

Is the dam dry enough to ride now? I saw the ranger's note mid week but wonder if it has dried up enough now - as it hasn't rained for three days...

Can any locals fill us in? Might go for a ride this eve if its all good.

Cheers, Hans

What A Blast

But i must say a little dissapointed that no Nobmobbers made the effort to attend with me ...... i did give at least 24 hours notice of this ride AND i now know a few of you .....( perhaps my very average sense of humour hmm ) anyway feeling pumped i decided to give my previous PB a nudge of the standard green XC course ( 41 minutes ....and it was 35 deg )
With legs that remembered the pain of riding through the mud at the Sydney 24 ...um 14.5 i mean , i took off with only a few others on track ! This place is the polar opposite of Del Rio with powdered dusty trails in all directions .

This will be a semi-serious training ride, planning to pack-in around 70km plus hills.

Would prefer a small group but anyone not afraid of some serious hard work are more than welcome.

See you in the morning

Manly Dam to Cascades

Anyone know a way of linking up the Dam and Cascades without going along blacktop? Is there a way under Roseville Bridge perhaps?

BIKE SCAM - BEWARE

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Whilst searching on the net i have seen many posts on various blog sites (see below). This looks like a total scam. I was interested in a bike they had so I emailed these guys asking them where they are, website address and I got nothing...but they were wanting me to confirm my order and address and asked me to quickly send payment for the bike. YEAH RIGHT!

On the drops!

I saw a scummer, dressed in a full scumm team outfit (some purple-ish colour) ride down the ramp North side of the bridge this morning... on the drops!

Surely this is an MTB rider in disguise? Eye-wink

Anyone know said individual? Mind you - there were plenty people walking up and they didn't shout out so slightly dangerous manoeuvre.

Red Hill
Meeting Point:

Red Hill Reserve car park, off Lady Penryhn Drive, Beacon Hill. Another option is to ride over here from Oxford Falls.

I know what most of you are thinking but I decided the other day that there must be people out there who haven’t ridden Red Hill because of it’s reputation...You can do a short cross country style loop – out to picnic rock and back the single track which is pretty...
Anyway, at least if I am wrong and no one turns up at least I can go and do the usual rim ride!
