XC Circuit (WWS '08)
Really should split this up when time allows.

My first timed lap
I have been riding it for a while but I've never properly timed myself.
Got stuck behind a guy on the first real single-track section, and again just before the double rock step-up, but I guess was a nice little rest anyways.
This was the first time in a long while that I've just constantly pedaled the whole thing without stopping, I guess I'll just have to pedal harder next time!
Hopefully I can improve the time over the next couple of months!

the beast is now on ebay if anyones interested?
just put my beast up for sale on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem...

Cross Training?
Yesterday I was speaking to a fellow rider who was scoffing at my 'training' lately, and didn't think spending a day playing with trail building would help.
Well, I'm here to tell you that if you get stuck into it, trail building is as good a workout as you'll get. Admittedly it was a bit warm at Del Rio today (low 30s with a nice breeze), but after a couple of hours of shovelling I was drenched as I sat for a welcome break. Was wearing a tee and long pants (lightweight, treking gear - I've walked in the Sinai desert in these!) and not a dry spot on the whole outfit.

1st triathlon...
I competed in my 1st triathlon this morning – 500m swim/20km ride/5km run – in 1:24:14 in Penrith this morning. Very happy with that time for my first one...

help with pedals
i got some new pedals. and the old ones on the bike seem to have rusted on in the 2 yrs there been on there, i have tryed everything i know, wd-40, freeze spray stuff, 3 people holding the bike down while i try and undo it and a 4 foot pole on the end of the spanner, it didnt end well the spanner snapped and i went crashing forwards(it shows to pay alot when you buy tools not cheap crap) the last option i been thinking of is heating it up, but this may cause more problems itself.
is there a tool to undo them. or what have you done in this time
