"Snakes"
We were riding an old trail (now banned by NPWS) that ends in a "non shallow creek" on Boxing day in the late afternoon on rounding
a corner to a spot with a view where we normally stop for a rest before the last decent we surprised a coastal Taipan.
And before you say na it was probably a brown I know my snakes I have held a Native animal keepers license for ten years and keep snakes at home.
The Taipan we saw was aprox five feet long a stunningly hansom animal but by no means a fully grown adult but enough to cause a serious problem if one of us was bitten.

Bummer also (missing out on Dirtworks)
sold out all too quick for me. I'm also keen to buy either 50 or 100k entry if anyone's not able to make it.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
Merry Chirstmas Nobs. Jeeten and I wanted to ride somewhere new and exciting...Yellowmundee got the pick. We'll be going for a casual ride and we'd be happy to have some more company. However, the pace will be steady and riders should have moderate experience so we can all enjoy the technical parts of the trail. I have room to give one person a lift out there from around the northern beaches.

Last Ride of 2008? - Northern Beaches Training Ride
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Ralston Ave / Elm Ave, Belrose, NSW, Australia
Training for the Sydney 24 so expect lots of pain and suffering on this ride. That said the route is a blinder.
Starting at the top of Heath Track, down the Technical Downhill all the way to Quarry climb (via the legal route of course). Across Ridge Top and over the road to the Show ground, then along to Sandy trail... from here over to Permiter Track and then use Centre Track and West Head track to get to Towlers Bay for that great downhill section, then all the way back either on the road or via different trails.
Should easily be able to get at least 60km's in I reckon.
