Australian Masters Games

In case anybody is interested the 2009 Australian Masters Games will be held in Geelong between 20/2/09 to 1/3/09 and feature XC, Enduro and Down Hill, as well as 70 other sports/recreations.

The minimum age is 30 for most sports but can vary and the XC is is raced in You Yangs Regional Park.

Ourimbah update

I rode Ourimbah XC on Saturday morning. Great ride. It has been shortened quite a bit. Down to about 8kms per lap.
To note - the drop-in before Jurasic Park has been cordoned off.

Check out the suspension compression! The rear shock looks like its crunching the bottle cage. Also that chain is flapping everywhere and the derailleur looks to be where it shouldn't Sticking out tongue

interesting to see how things looks in action, esp cos when you are riding, you just hear all the clanging Laughing out loud

Tyres are all squishy too.

Same spot today, I managed to rip free the shifter cable from the rear derailleur.... Shocked

Night Ride - Manly Dam plus extra's

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry: 
Manly Dam

The 1st half of the Manly Dam loop then crossing over the Parkway and riding to Forestville. After this we following the pipeline until we rejoin the Manly Dam loop. 100% legal, but there is a little road riding involved.

A touch under 15k's but will take 2 hours at night and you will need good lights.

This is a technical ride and at night it will be more difficult, so it's not for the inexperienced.

Bring a beer for post ride hydration.
