Wildflower Garden update for 14 May
Only rode (or tried to ride) the section from the old Nursery up to the Showground on Friday. Work had resumed on the drainage at the bottom end so the first third of the track was closed off. Not sure of the condition of the rest of the trails, but the section I rode was dry enough after a bit of rain that morning.

Quarry Road Track Closure due to Rifle Range “Danger”
We’re paging mountain bikers, walkers and joggers from Hornsby and beyond to help us in our charge to find a more workable solution than the present Trump-like “answer” of gates, walls and fences to lock everyone out of the extremely popular Quarry Road Track from Hornsby to Dural. The transcript of the letter/report that I have personally sent is shown below for reference; it’s rather long but the Abstract is a pretty good summary of the situation for those who have been out of the loop.

Menacing Gates
Put in by some powers that be in 2016 that be that decide that they don't want people using the track full stop due to the cited "danger" in rifle range land. Also note barely visible wire around these gates.
