The planets aligned and my dream bike is born

Liteville - German precision from the same guys as Syntace
160mm travel at 13.3kg's and not carbon and no weight weeny
Optimised for a 650b front and 26 rear (B-26)

Incredible ride
What happens at the pedals has no influence on the rear suspension and vice versa

Overgeared and clattery with 3 x 9 but need to let my wallet recover before updates

Such a nice change from previous bikes - I love it!

Matt Hunter Tours Mont Blanc

Now this is proper mountain biking! Beautiful little clip:

http://youtu.be/z_JupfzlWSc

More on the route here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tour_du_Mont_Blanc

The stats on WikiPedia say 173.5 km 11,603m climbing, 11,895m descent. Ouch!

Note that some people run this in under 24 hours! Even 4 days on a bike sounds like bloody hard work. But look at the reward! Laughing out loud

Menai / Lucas Heights trail building day

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
When:
Saturday, 8 March, 2014 (All day)

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Menai (Lucas Heights)
Meeting Point:

Little Forest Rd - turn off Illawara rd as if driving to the tip (look for large signs). Follow road and keep to the right where you should come to a tall locked gate and fence.

After another great day of trail building I thought it would be good to get more people along. There were approximately 15-20 people at the build day today and we managed to cut in almost 1 km of new singletrack. Obviously the more, the merrier.

The trail days are generally the second Saturday of each month but this might change depending on various factors.

You will need to complete an indemnity waiver (you chop your head off with a rake, it's your own fault type thing).

Wildflower Garden update for 07 Feb

Status:
Green/Open

Rode through from the Nursery to Muppet Show today and all good. Not even a patch of dampness after the light rain earlier this week. Dry and loose in places. A few tree roots starting to get a bit tricky. Otherwise great!
