Mowbray Park Farm track official opening tomorrow (Saturday 18th) - family friendly rides ahead?
Just a reminder for those who might have missed the Mowbray Park Farm track official opening calendar entry.
Enjoy the heat? Why not go and check out this new trail to the South of Sydney (near Picton) this weekend? For those that don't, might be worth a visit at another time?
The site looks like a pretty promising option for riders who may feel guilty about leaving the family at home while they indulge in the pleasures of MTB. There appear to be a tonne of family friendly activities for the significant other & kids. Kudos for the initiative guys!

Signed up for the Punishment
Thanks to those who offered advice and encouragement about signing up for my first 100km event - I've now committed to the CP100!
Can anyone offer any advice on nutrition? I've never really gone far beyond stuffing an energy bar into my jersey pocket before heading out for a reasonable ride. What would you recommend for a 100km race - bars/gels and how frequent?
Bottle cage
Guys, I am looking for suggestions for a quality side entry bottle cage that will hold a bottle over the rough stuff. Any comments / suggestions welcomed.

Lane Cove National Park update for 16 Jan
Rode through from De Burgh's Bridge to the top of Devlins today. Dry and a little loose in places. Some of the burnt bushes on the upper sections of Devlins are starting to droop across the track, narrowing it a bit.

Carbon or Ti seatpost?
I've got a mate whose deciding between a carbon or ti seatpost for a new steel hardtail (http://www.cotic.co.uk/product/soul). Any advice, recommendations or tips for young players? What about longevity of carbon? I've always used Thomson aluminium, so don't know how to advise him.
