Nearby Trails to OMV Hornsby trail
Hi all,
Looking for suggestions on Nearby trails around OMV.
OMV is more than nice enough to do multiple laps, but after 7-8 laps I usually have enough.
I tried the firetrail at the end of the road but that only leads to some houses and some walking tracks
Are there any trails closeby within riding distance (2-5km)?? don't mind firetrails. Just looking to increase the distance and break up my routine.
Cheers,
Mario

Tooth-friendly gels?
This week I managed to lose a front tooth trying to tear open a Gu with my front teeth while riding - a process that I have done many times before, without any negative teeth impact.
For context, it was a dead tooth (root canal work a couple of decades ago) and I'm at an age where my teeth are starting deteriorate around the many fillings I had as a result of growing up before they put fluoride in our drinking water.
I've only ever used Gu as it sits OK on my stomach and I like the chocolate flavour.

Manly Dam Wednesday Night Rides
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Next to Seaforth Bowling Club on the Manly Dam Trail.
Regular Wednesday Night Ride.
All levels welcome.
Good lights required.
1 lap for beginners. 2 laps for fitter types.
Cheers
Daniel

Enjoy your fitness.
A good friend of mine once said to me: "most people will never know what it feels like to be truly fit". This statement had a profound effect on me - it's a staggering fact when you think about it. I was reasonably fit at the time, but I had certainly spent the majority of my 30s being quite unfit. Of course there are degrees of fitness, but if you're reading this post, chances are you're way fitter than the majority of people your age.

Storing a bike
Just a quick question, is it ok for me to store my bikes upside down? Im a bit worried about fork stanchions not getting any oil and my hydro brakes getting air bubbles moving around?
For that matter is it ok to store vertically aswell?
Cheers,
Jono.

Better but not great
Ok so it's still slow but I'm new to this! I feel my bike may be letting me down a bit....and my heart, lungs, leg muscles and hand cramps but it's around 8 minutes quicker than my last attempt but that could be due to not falling off and having to gather my senses like last time. Also I did a few laps of old mans valley first up!
Loving it, new bike soon I hope.... Does Santa have a mobile number?

Old Man's Valley update for 03 Dec
1st time here. Did 6 laps then went to do manly dam! This place will be pumping when the new trails are done. Did see a black snake but not on the track thank god! Track is nice and dry.
