Best type of training for Kowalski

With the Kowalski postponed until mid October (fortunately as I was under prepared) what do you believe is the best training rides/regime for the race?
As with the convict I would just hit the trails in Terry Hills and Cascades and get serious kms in those legs but the Kowalski seems to be a different race.

Would 4 hard laps of Manly dam and possums with a few laps Serrata thrown in be more beneficial than hitting the long fire trails of Terry Hills etc even though that many laps would only be around 50kms?

Bantry Bay is finally dring out, with only the occasional muddy section. Trail fairies appear to have been doing some work. Watch out for the magpie swooping Rangers Retreat and Bantry Bay Roads.

Wildflower Garden update for 16 Sep

Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Nursery section is fine except for a bit of water damage at the lower end and a nasty little erosion drop off / step up up near the old pump house. Horse trail section is pretty good. Muppets is mostly dry but is a bit boggy / blown out / widened in quite a few places. Big tree down across the track at the Ryland Track end and another near the bottom of the hill (going clockwise) which a midget might be able to ride under, but not me.

Rode down Lower Cambourne, a bit of Bare Creek and up Quarry Track today. Still water running over Cambourne and Bare Creek tracks in a few places. Quarry Trail is fine up to the gate, but with some boggy bits further along.
