I am visiting near Sydney from Belgium and would like to go Mountain Biking. I have brough my shoes with clips and helment but need a bike and someone to show me some good local trails. Anyone free this saturday 4/10/14 or sunday 5/10/14? If you know of someone who could help me, let me know. You can also contact me by Phone (+32473830334) as I know this is last minute planning.
I tried getting in contact with 'Blue Mountain Bike' but they have not contacted me.

Stunning morning on the trails today. Water has pretty much all gone other than a few damp spots on management trails.

Quick rundown of where I went.

Double Barrel - Bordering on dusty.
Six Shooter - No Issues
Seismick - Loose Gravel.
Pump Action - Dry
Reload - Bit loose at the start otherwise great.
Kenny's - Deep rut is damp, otherwise fine.
Baileys Swamp - Drying quickly
BJ's - Dry all the way, last section needs some work after the wet.
It Happens - Fine
Suess Land - Fine and dry
Shaft - Dry
Hang Ten - Dry
Deluge - Awesome
Grass Tree - No issues at all.

All up, the trails re riding pretty good at the moment.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 16 Sep

I will give it a green, a few puddles around, but any damage that is going to be done is done.

Kenny's - Few small puddles and the big rut at the start (around the log) that needs to be rerouted, otherwise pretty good.
Baileys Swamp - A lot drier than I expected. Can get through without getting wet.
BJ's - Fine except for the last 100m or so. Its got some bigger puddles, but this section needs work/realignment to prevent the puddling.
It Happens - Fine
Suess Land - Few small puddles otherwise fine, drying quickly
Shaft - No real issues
Hang Ten - Bit of erosion, but dry
Deluge - Awesome
Grass Tree - No issues at all.

Management Trails are for the most part fine. Few areas that are wet, but no bogs.

I didn't ride Snakes and Ladders, Seismick, double barrel, reload or Twisties. Twisties would be the only one of those trails I would have any concerns about.

All up, the trails are drying quickly and are worth getting in there for.

Excellent with only a few really minor puddles.

Amber/Some Issues

Amber is correct as plenty of dry bits but plenty of muddy boggy spots around too!-but will not take much more rain to turn it to red!

Amber/Some Issues

Ive taken this from a post elsewhere on the site.

I planned on doing an inspection ride - fully expecting to ride the fire trails and walk the singletrack, but it was in surprisingly good condition. I stopped at the top of Shaft (I ride up Yule rd to get it) debating whether to even bother with that section, but the dirt I could see was dry, so I rolled through. I was amazed at how good it was. There was some puddles towards the end (near the shitworks), and some extra errosion, but the trail was firm.

Usual wet and soggy fire trails, but not as much as I expected. Went up Snakes and Ladders, and you can see that people were riding when they shouldn't, but the trail is fairly firm now - if people were riding down it would be bad, but if they're riding down snakes and ladders I doubt they would be caring about trail conditions anyway...

Riding up Grass Tree was fine, but I did the chicken run back down the green, so don't know what the downhill side is like.

Again, I expected to walk Deluge, but whoever did the additional drainage there has done an awesome job, and it is in better condition than when all the rain started!

Reload was fine.

On Kenny's I did walk past some soggy sections, but amazingly Bailey's paddock was not too bad. I skipped BJs, and Seuss land was not too bad either.

All in all I was impressed with how the trail is at the moment, but there are erosion sections that will need some work after people riding wet trails.

Post suggested amber, but if you have a different review post it up.

Red/Closed

Unfortunately still red, I would have thought amber given a couple of days of sunshine, but there is loads of new mud patches from the weekend, maybe as many as 20 new spots where I haven't seen mud before - even snakes and ladders has 3 boggy areas. Kenny's section going up is now unrideable

With any luck another 2 days will see good recovery.
