Xmas BBQ
Manly Dam Picnic Area table number Area 1 shelter 1 (look for the sign NobMob or Andrew Lai)
Its on again! The NobMob Christmas BBQ! How does a few laps of the dam sound followed by a BBQ with the Mob?
Ive just booked a BBQ, one of the ones where you just push a button for the gas to come on. Its near the playground (wherever that is) I'll advise the BBQ number soon.
Don't forget its booked ALL DAY so if you want a brekkie, lunch or late arvo BBQ go right ahead. BYO food and extras to share.
Look for the sign NobMob/Andrew Lai on a BBQ, we wont fit all our meat on at once so be prepared to cook at various times blah blah blah
Technical Night Ride-*CANCELLED*
Red Hill Reserve car park, off Lady Penryhn Drive, Beacon Hill. Another option is to ride over here from Oxford Falls.
Well I wanted to try something new next week. I don't think we've ever done Red Hill at night.
This ride will be very technical so unfortunately will not be for beginners.
Bring a beer for the chat after.
Pads would also be highly recommended.
Damn quick laps
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
I'm going to start riding Manly Dam every Wednesday night from 6pm, starting tonight.
Anyone's welcome, though I'll be setting a resonable pace.
Sms my number (on my profile) if you're interested in tonight.
I'll set up another ride meeting next week.
See you on the trails
Ourimbah - Spring Fat Loops
North End of Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. There's a large-ish parking area here, just off the main sealed road. There is also a smaller parking area a little further (400m or so from the road) where the trail splits - this second area is the usual meeting point. If you end up driving up a steep hill you've gone too far.
Hi To All,
Myself and a friend are planning on re-tracing the Spring Fat Tyre Festival loop Saturday evening. The plan is to do 2 laps in the late afternoon to get the bearings once again, have a short break and then put the lights on for a final lap. If anyone is keen, more than welcome to join us.
Manly, in a blur
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
Greetings!
I have limited time available to ride this weekend, so am wanting to fit in a couple of laps on Saturday morning. I intend to do the laps moderately fast, with minimal stops for chatting or Hollywood moments.
If you want to fit in a faster ride, join me for some fast paced action. I will be riding my Norco, so the pace is far from impossible.
I will be in the blue Mazda.
Hopefully see you then.
Lane Cove Friday Arvo Newbie Ride
Meet "At the Seat" South End Kissing Point Road. The seat is the picnic seat down in the valley next to the concrete cycleway (near the water crossing). If you can come at a later time then please come along. We often come past the seat so you can join in when we see you.
Legal track only, avoiding big hills. XC style riding. Friends and I ride here quite a bit, come along and see our preferred route. We take it nice and easy early on. Being mature aged, we like to warm up a bit. Lane Cove holds water after rain, if it has rained during the day it is off. We ride instead on trails where the water bars/drainage are suitably maintained.
Some people park here (Turramurra Side): http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Australi...
Oxford Falls - Night Ride
Morgan Road, Belrose. At the second 90 degree right hand bend in the road. There's an area just before you can park and a firetrail heading off to the left.
Something different for a night ride - Oxford Falls (we won't be disobeying any signs we see)
Although I have riden Oxford Falls since 1995, I haven't been there since some of the trails have been made off-limits for riding and I'm not too sure what is legal or not. Given this our route will be decided on the night - maybe the fire trail to Narrabeen, maybe Power Lines and Nursey Rythyms, maybe the downhill.
This will be a XC ride and not a huckfest but it is always advisable to wear pads at Oxford Falls, so bring them if you have them.

Cancelled - Terrey Hills - Duck Holes (Waratah or Baine or both) & Centre
Terrey Hills Shops
I can't make the Blue Mountains overnighter and I still need to stretch my legs so what I'm planning to do is Duck Holes (then either Waratah or Baine or both) and returning via Centre.
While it is listed as a social ride it will be 30k's plus, so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
*********It's been pouring at Red Hill and around since sundown - I'm pulling the pin because it will be a quagmire will SMS all I that have mobile number for in their profile
