Have all the puddles/mud areas dried up and have they finished the track 'upgrades'?
Just got back, definitely drying out. Behind school is 90% dry, all the run off has gone. After creek, getting dryer, huge improvements from last week. Recent rain hasn't had an affect. Fences behind bowling club still up.
Mentioned when logs went in but mentioning again. Logs in the final DH behind Allambie are in. Spaced around 2 metres apart after rock roll off. Although more than likely meant for trail preservation and maybe trying to keep speed down I find it a great addition to work on other techniques.. mono-hopping with speed, clearing two at one time. I think a little work has gone into the dip before the right corner at the end, although no berm it's fun using the dip to launch into the turn and dig into that corner.
I'd be happy to call this green regardless of the detour due to the fences. The work has been completed for a week or so just the fences remain up. Three suits were in the fenced area looking around so it may come down today or Monday?
Edit: Forget to mention. Bike pretty much clean after two laps i.e. none of the usual sand on the down tube. That's a good sign things have changed recently.
