Manly Dam update for 07 Aug

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Red/Closed

Very muddy and sodden at Cootamundra Reserve, sections of Southern Cross Drive, Manly Vale Public School, in fact most areas of low-lying and flat singletrack. Becoming badly cut up and damaged in all these areas as riders fail to exercise commonsense and restraint by riding elsewhere after rain.

If you need a riding fix try Terry Hills.

Hi I live at Menai. I went to the dam today just to wet I was really surprised.Does not drain very well. Lots of damage.I regret doing my lap.I will head back to Appin or menai.

It is not just draining it is also all the layers of sandstone that hold lots of water. I live down the road from the Dam and after a good consistent soaking, water just seeps out of the rocks for a good week or two afterwards. This obviously then ends up in the low lying areas.
