Manly Dam update for 22 Feb

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Amber/Some Issues

I did a lap this afternoon.

There is a lot of standing water and several small streams flowing down the single track sections. Where this water is being ridden through is starting to become mud and a few bog sections have started.

Other sections are dry and officially the track is "open" so I'm marking it "amber/some issues" because it is not possible to ride the Dam without going through a fair amount of water and mud. You bike will be making grinding noises by the end of the lap.

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

Can anyone provide an update on Manly Dam? Keen to ride tomorrow, but have just invested in new cassette and chain, so want to make sure it is dry (except the ususal puddles after the halfway creek).

Just hit a lap this morning - still very wet. Water running off rocks, some sever mud puddles in the covered sections. If you have new gear i would stay clear - took me ages to clean the machine...

Cheers. Dry by Sunday do you think?

... judging by the amount of standing water and seepage in my street. I'm not far from the northen end of the park.

I'd suggest Duck Holes and Centre Tracks at Terrey Hills. If you want a longer ride, add Perimeter and Long starting from the Japanese School.

We've had enough... off to Canberra for the weekend. Eye-wink
