I know the council hasnt cloced it but its wet wet wet & a mess ! I didnt think there had been much rain but a ride thisarvo proved me wrong .

Do you have more information?

They have specifically called it open. There's a massive can of worms here.

Given some of the areas are badly eroded and in desperate need of TLC I tend to agree with the red call. I would also question why the council would call it as open and allow more damage when they won't allow any maintenance.

But. If the council call it open can we post a closed call here and more specifically criticise those that ride it?

True ! Its a bit hard to criticise others when the council has it as open but I think we should put forward our opinion so that others can at least make an educated decision themselves .In my opinion it should be red but the council has it as open .

The Manly Dam Track is officially open.

Certainly it is wet in some places - but those are the usual places. Indeed it is also getting muddy in a few places - but again, the usual places. So that means (in my interpretation) that there are "some issues". It is pretty rideable once you allow for some expected water and mud patches.

So "officially open" + "some issues" = "amber traffic light"

If you want people to take the system seriously then you need to have a system which is consistent.
