Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

Rode the Dam Sat morning, a few dam patches in the usuall spots and a little mud at the Allambie end but overall I thought it there was a lot of grip and would rate it green.

Yeah I'd call it green, too.

Rode it yesterday for the first time since early May. Plenty of grip but it's really chopped up. It's going to bite the inexperienced/unwary in places.

But it is definitely "green"

Did a spin this morning and was going to update it to to green myself.

If this drought doesn't break (no rain since Thursday) I reckon the track will smooth out pretty quickly. There is already a good riding line appearing in many places.

Agree green.

Also agree very chopped up.

Was a bit sceptical yesterday after seeing a couple of quite muddy bikes down by the hydraulics lab, but the comments about grip persuaded me to give it a crack.

Did three and a bit laps today, first descent down from Allambie was more than a little nervous until I got the eye back in to visualising "the line" - and back into 26er mode.

Amazing how much it's changed since last ride a few weeks ago. Shocked

How did i know that would

How did i know that would happen... i gave up a weekend with a nice new Yeti SB95 as i thought it would be to wet to ride.

Luckily its booked for 2 weekends from now, lets hope it stays dry.
