Bantry Bay update for 05 Aug
Submitted by danielschipper on Sun, 05/08/2012 - 19:18
Area:
Bantry Bay
Status:
Green/Open Track is great, nice and dry and not too much sand.
Have been riding repeats of Currie Road down to Bantry Bay to ease back into riding after 3 months off with L4/L5 disc issue. Did 4 repeats over the weekend and feels OK.
Do you have more information?

Good to hear the back is on
Good to hear the back is on the mend
Good idea!
I might have to catch up with u one weekend to do the same...
Repeats make it a great ride!
It's only 4ks / 15 minutes top to bottom and back to top so to be honest I don't ride this trail a lot even though it's in my backyard. But doing repeats has really changed it for me! It's got a good mix of flat trail and fast descent...similar to Heath track at Cascades....ust not as long but that's OK when you turn around to come back out. The water bars are perfect size to launch off, and with some placed on corners give a good challenge. And the location is superb... end of the trail ends up just above Bantry Bay with nice views. Throw in repeats and it turns a quick 4K ride into an 8K, 12K, 16K, etc blast!
Once Daylight savings kicks in I'll be riding it a couple of times a week before and after work.
