The fine dust muninjitsu reported last week seems to have been swept away for the most part, and there are some lines forming. Some corners still have coarse gravel the size of 5 and 10 cent pieces in place of the dust, so keep your eyes open.

The singletrack section was great. Looks like some work has been done since I rode it last, which was last year. Well done to NPWS and the trail fairies.

Do you have more information?

You would have missed the work that has been done to the road by riding the single track on the way down to Glenbrook. It's now all the way up the road from the Ironbarks to the gate at the Oaks.

Did see some dust....but we managed to avoid most of the roadworks going up around through Euroka Clearing which made for a nice start to the day. Great conditions today...for riding up and back...had a blast in the single track...as usual! Cool

Does anyone know whether the Nepean Lookout trail is currently open to cyclists? The NPWS site says its closed to 'vehicles' and I would assume that means bikes as well. The NPWS richmond office isn't answering their phone either Smiling Plan to do the oaks this weekend and was going to take a side trip to Nepean lookout.

Its open to cyclists and walking, just not motor vehicles.

I went out to the Oaks gate last night and I'd say legally the road is still closed due to the road works. The road is closed at the Ironbarks with the gate being locked. Use Bennetts Ridge(via Euroka) firetrail if heading up. Not sure about Nepean, I didn't see any sign when I got out there.
